Honoring My Mom on Her Birthday — And the Power of Grief to Transform You
Today is my mom’s birthday. And I miss her. Deeply.
She was a bold, beautiful Sagittarius woman who believed in me long before I believed in myself. She would tell everyone about my gifts, show off my art, my readings, anything I ever made. She saw me in ways I didn’t even see myself.
And since her death, everything inside of me has changed.
Grief Can Hold You Back... or It Can Awaken You
If you don’t process grief, it will quietly grip your life. It’ll keep you stuck, replaying old memories, avoiding new beginnings, or feeling numb.
But grief can also become a portal — a gateway into your next spiritual level.
After my mom died on March 5th, I knew. I felt it. My family and siblings wanted to keep pushing the machines, to hold on, to fight for one more breath.
But I knew she was already gone.
And in that knowing, I found peace. I spent my final moment with her watching Shrek (she loved that movie) while she lay there, her spirit already in transition. That memory is burned into my heart.
That moment didn’t break me. It changed me. It cracked me open in a way that made my intuition sharper, my senses more tuned-in, and my voice stronger.
Grief Woke Me Up
Because I didn’t run from it. I let myself feel it. I let the pain shape me. And in doing that, I grew.
I believe that kind of growth is possible for anyone. But only if you’re honest with yourself:
-
Are you avoiding your healing?
-
Are you stuffing down what you don’t want to face?
-
Or are you ready to let your story evolve?
I say this as someone who had to learn that being strong doesn’t mean being numb.
Celebrating Her Legacy
To honor my mom and everything she taught me — about resilience, creativity, boldness, and truth-telling — I'm offering 25% off everything in my Etsy shop and on my website today only.
Not because I need to run a sale. But because I want to celebrate her by doing what she believed in. She loved seeing my work shared with others. This is how I keep her spirit moving through me.
If You’re Moving Through It Too...
If this touched something in you, or you’re going through grief in your own way right now, just know: you’re not alone.
